PRAYER

Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand (Isa. 41:10)

Mt. Carmel is a church established with rich history, and a solid foundation of Prayer. This message transcends year to year, decade to decade - it is the foundational message of prayer. From each dispensation, from Creation to Grace, God has longed to communicate with his people, the strongest of this tool is prayer. The founder of our church knew this message early and established it as a principle that would guide the church, for many generations. The message is as true today, as it was back in 1948. It is our weapon of choice, is it our secret pipeline to God. We use this tool to communicate, strategize, worship, and receive instruction. From this we win battles, we come into his presence, we receive strength for the day, and wisdom for a lifetime. The message for this hour is to use this weapon in 2021. It was foundational at the beginning of the church; it is the key to our victory today. We have been taught how to use it, when to use, and its’ purpose. If you have forgotten, I will list some scriptures below to help. If you forget all that you read, and you want to keep it simple, there is one name, that has power and authority, demons tremble and fear, and when called on from the heart, he will answer. It is the shortest prayer, but most powerful, just say, “JESUS”. Use this as your tool and watch and see what God will do.

There are many voices that say, what God says based on what they feel, but it is not based on the word of God. There were some who threw prophecies out, hoping that they stick. Stick with the word of God. Don’t get distracted with the chatter of the times, staying true to the word, is staying true to the foundation. What does God's word say, “The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intent,” Hebrews 4:12. Stick with the word.

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life - John 6:63. Stick with the word.

Be watchful and pray, most importantly, STICK WITH THE WORD!

Prayer: a solemn request for help or expression of thanks addressed to God:
Basic Outline for Prayer:
Prayer Has Four Simple Steps.

  1. Step 1: Address Heavenly Father.

  2. Step 2: Thank Heavenly Father.

  3. Step 3: Ask Heavenly Father.

  4. Step 4: Close in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Do not be anxious about anything , but in everything make your requests to God ..by prayer, thanksgiving and placing your request to God, the peace of God will guard your heart and mind fully beyond understanding (Phil. 4: 6–7).

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths (Prov. 3:5-6).

“Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation (Psalm 91:14-16).

Holiday Greetings!

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6

This year is much different as our world is facing a challenging time, locally and internationally. We listen to the news to find updates on what is happening in our world, and community. Where do we turn to find hope, strength, and courage? We can draw strength in the real reason why we celebrate Christmas - it is Jesus Christ!

He is a wonderful counselor, and he is our Mighty God, and Prince of Peace.

It is easy to forget in times like these that He is the source of life, salvation and strength.

We pray for lost lives, hurting souls, economic recovery, and healing for our land.

Grace and mercy be unto you and your family, from our family to yours.

May the God of all grace, be with you now and in the New Year!

Be Not Weary in Well Doing!

In this season, God is planting seeds in the church for long term growth. The church is reshaping and finding a new normal. The Lord has commissioned us to prayer and fasting. He is saying to the body of Christ, “I am the author and finisher of your faith,” and I am not through with you yet! This is the time to continue to work, to build and to plant.

This Sarah season of ministry is about believing, even when it seems impossible. The promises of God are sure and his timing is incredible. The season of sprouting will soon be upon us and the work of your labor will be seen for all to know that the glory of the Lord has risen in this place. It is not the season to quit; it is the time to let the Word fulfill its work in us, as a body of believers. God is strengthening those that remain, preparing the church for future harvest, securing the boarders around us. He is preparing us as new babes in Christ. You are encouraged to desire the sincere milk of the Word, and grow as he feeds us.

It is God who gives the increase, and the explosion of what is he is about to do for us. He is moving in our church. The grass-root movement of rebuilding us is happening, slowly but surely. His eminent domain of our hearts will reflect the work he is doing, and the glory he wants to reveal in the church and in each of us.  He is fulfilling the vision, and filling the motto, “We are a church by the water, a place to have a new encounter with God,” and We are Beginning Again!
